What this website, our chat and PoPIt Pad store in your browser or read from it, why, and for how long. How we use personal information more generally is in our privacy policy.
The short version
- No advertising, retargeting or social media cookies, anywhere.
- Essential storage keeps your cookie choices, and any chat you start.
- Visit statistics set no cookies, and run until you switch them off.
- Chat helpers, which see the page you are on, only run if you say yes.
- Change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage, which this site mostly uses, does the same job in a different place. UK law treats both the same way, and also covers scripts that read information from your device, so this policy covers all three.
The law allows storage that a website needs in order to work, or that you have asked for, without asking first. Anything else needs your agreement, apart from statistics used only to improve a website, which may run as long as you can easily switch them off.
Your choices
We sort everything into three types:
- essential storage, which is always on, because the site and the chat need it to work;
- visit statistics, which are on until you switch them off; and
- chat helpers, which are off until you switch them on.
You can change your choices whenever you like: . The same link is at the bottom of every page.
We keep your choice for 12 months, then ask again. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no to both optional types.
Switching visit statistics off stops anything more being sent at once. Switching them back on takes effect from the next page you open.

The fonts on popit.media and in PoPIt Pad come from our own servers, so nothing is fetched from Google.
Other websites
We don't embed videos, maps or social media posts, so no other company's cookies arrive through our pages. Links to other websites take you to sites with their own cookie policies.
Controlling storage in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies and browser storage in your browser's settings. If you block essential storage, the chat cannot keep a conversation open between pages, and the cookie banner will ask for your choices on every visit.
Changes to this policy
When we add, remove or change anything in the list above, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change needs your agreement, the banner asks you again. Questions go to hello@popit.media.
